On May 17, 2023, we released EuroLinux version 8.8. It retains compatibility with Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 8.8. The EuroLinux 8.8 repositories have been expanded to include Python 3.11, Nginx 1.22 and PostgreSQL 15. Among others, several packages have been updated, such as: Git 2.39.1, Git LFS 3.2.0, Valgrind 3.19, SystemTap 4.8, Dyninst 12.1.0, Elfutils 0.188, PCP 5.3.7, Grafana 7.5.15, GCC Toolset 12, LLVM Toolset 15, Rust Toolset 1.66, GoToolset 1.19.4. The Linux kernel was updated to version 4.18.0-477.

XeroLinux has released a new version with several important changes, including the resolution of KDFONT issue, an updated Arch Kernel to version 6.3.2, and the fixing of most PipeWire USB Headphones issues. The new release now uses the Catppuccin theme and style for everything and features major under-the-hood performance optimizations for KDE Plasma. The QT has been updated to the latest version, 5.15.9, and KDE Plasma, KDE Frameworks, and KDE Gear tools have also been updated to their latest versions, 5.27.5, 5.106, and 23.04.1, respectively. During the installation, Memtest86 will be removed due to an ongoing issue with Grub, and a fresh install is no longer required for existing XeroLinux users.

Version 5.2.4 of EasyOS Kirkstone series was released on May 4 with some significant updates for version 5.3. The two major updates in the release notes are the change in ext4 folder encryption from fscrypt v1 to v2 and significant improvement in the Flatpak Installer (Flapi). However, the upgrade to fscrypt v2 means that encrypted folders created before 5.3 will no longer be accessible. Therefore, users who have encrypted folders and enter a password at bootup must download the 'easy-update' script before upgrading to 5.3; otherwise, the update will break the installation.

On May 11, 2023, we released version 9.2 of the EuroLinux operating system. It maintains compatibility with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2. EuroLinux 9.2 repositories have been expanded to include Python 3.11, Nginx 1.22, PostgreSQL 15, new versions of Performance Co-Pilot, updated toolsets - Rust 1.66, Go 1.19 and LLVM 15. The new version of the system also introduces a variety of improvements to the web console (cockpit). The Linux kernel has been updated to version 5.14. Key security-related highlights: the OpenSSL secure communications library was rebased to version 3.0.7; SELinux user-space packages were updated to version 3.5; Keylime was rebased to version 6.5.2; OpenSCAP was rebased to version 1.3.7; SCAP Security Guide was rebased to version 0.1.66.

Although the developers have not yet shared a full list of new features and improvements, Parrot OS 5.3 is packed with all the latest updates and security fixes, ensuring an extra layer of security and performance.
